Writing coaching is personalized guidance that helps writers break through creative blocks, develop their craft, and complete their projects. Unlike editing (which focuses on fixing finished work) or teaching (which follows a curriculum), coaching meets you exactly where you are in your writing journey.
As your writing coach, I work alongside you to identify what's stopping your progress—whether that's plotting challenges, character development issues, motivation issues, or simply not knowing what comes next. Together, we create actionable strategies tailored to your specific project, writing style, and goals.

Sometimes the first step is the hardest. Ideas bounce around in your head but when you sit down to write, nothing comes. I've been there and can help you leap from dreaming about writing a book, to writing a book. I'll show you how to get started by fleshing out your story idea and honing in on character, motivation, and plot. Bring your questions, concerns, and fears, then get ready to write!
Fee: $60 for 1 hour, including a quick follow-up session, if needed.

This service is for writers who have written anything from a few pages to a few chapters and are struggling to continue, either because of a lack of new story ideas or motivation. After reading your work-in-progress, we'll meet to discuss areas of strength and those areas that need adjusting. You will get a better understanding of what's working, what's not, and how to move forward.
1 stand-alone session: $80
includes feedback on up to 25 pages
4 sessions, paid in advance: $300

I've finished the first (or second) draft, now what?
With content editing, I will read your completed manuscript and give you detailed feedback. You'll get insights into character development, pacing, setting, flow, and more. Having this information is vital before beginning the next round of revisions.
